Undo, Learning Mode and the tour

Three small helpers that make the dashboard safer and easier to learn: undo, the (i) hints and the tour.

Undo with Cmd+Z#

Changed something by mistake? Press Cmd+Z on a Mac or Ctrl+Z on Windows. A small purple message at the bottom of the screen says what was taken back. Press Cmd+Z again to go back one more step.

PageWhat you can undo
CalendarAdding, moving, editing and deleting a post (its name, date, status, type, links and captions), Auto-fill and Clear Calendar. A deleted post comes back with its variations.
Releases & EventsEdits to a release or event, a new cover, Mark Released, Archive and Restore.
Release tasksMoving a task, adding or deleting one, changing a deadline, and adding the suggested tasks.
GoalsAdding, removing and editing a goal, and Adjust goal.
Links PageChanges to the page, its links and its icons, and a Linktree import. This lasts until you publish or discard.
WebstoreShop settings, and adding, editing and deleting products.
TicketingSaved changes to an event page, its line-up and its offers.
  • Each page remembers your last 20 changes (25 on the Calendar). The list starts again when you leave the page.
  • While your cursor is in a text box, Cmd+Z undoes your typing instead. Click outside the box first.
Some things cannot be undone: deleting a campaign, deleting a sign-up form, and Bulk tag on customers. A campaign you send has its own Undo button in the corner of the screen. It stays for 3 seconds. After that the email is on its way.

Learning Mode#

Learning Mode adds small (i) buttons next to words you may not know, such as Status, Variations and Greenlight on the Calendar, or Reach and Net Followers on Insights. Press one to read a short explanation.

  • It is on for the first 14 days of your account. Then it switches itself off.
  • Switch it yourself any time in Settings, Profile, Dashboard Preferences, Learning Mode. Your choice is kept in this browser and wins over the 14 days.
  • The (i) on each card of the release task board is always shown, whatever you choose.

The dashboard tour#

The tour takes about two minutes. It lights up one thing at a time and says in a line or two what it is for. It is offered once, with a card that says Welcome to your dashboard, on your first visit after setup or after you accept a team invite.

  • Press Start the tour, or Skip for now.
  • Enter or the right arrow goes to the next step. The left arrow goes back. Esc skips.
  • It visits Calendar, Releases, Insights, Fans and More, in that order. It only shows things: the page underneath cannot be clicked while it runs.
  • Closed the tab halfway? The welcome card comes back next time.
  • No tasks yet? A few sample tasks show on the board during the tour, so it has something to point at.

To see it again, open Settings, Profile, Dashboard Tour and press Start tour.

Back buttons#

Pages one level below a tab have a Back to button at the top left, so you never have to find your way up through the menu.

You are onThe button says
Mailing, Links Page, Ticketing, Webstore, Website DataBack to Fans
An event's ticket pageBack to Ticketing
Releases & EventsBack to Release Tasks
Settings, Refer a Friend, Transfers, Resources, Notifications, Data Export, GoalsBack to More

The five tab pages have none, because they are the top level. These help pages have Back to help instead.
