Auto-fill and your calendar, explained

Updated October 2026

Auto-fill 4 Weeks plans your next 28 days of posts. It does not fill every day on purpose, so you can keep up. The same hours and choices always give the same plan. It is not random.

How to use it

  1. Press Auto-fill 4 Weeks on the Calendar. The posts appear one after another.
  2. Open a post to change its name, add captions, upload a version (a variation), or change its status.
  3. Drag a post to another day to move it.
  4. When you post it, add the live link so your numbers match up.

Statuses: planned, assets obtained, uploaded, ready, posted and skipped. Each post also gets three tasks: plan 3 days before, film 2 days before, edit the day before. Stories get none.

Which days it plans

  • It finds your last post dated today or later. The new plan starts the day after it.
  • With nothing planned ahead, it starts today.
  • If that start is more than 10 days away, it asks which date to start on. You can pick one, or press Start today instead.
  • It never uses Saturdays and never goes back to fill gaps in weeks you already planned.
  • Press it twice and you get 8 weeks, each planned on its own.

How many posts, and which

  • Your hours a week and the kinds of content you picked decide how many. More hours means more posts. Change them in Settings, Profile.
  • Your focus (growth, nurture or income) decides the mix between posts that reach new people, posts for your fans, and posts that sell.
  • Dated things come first. A release gets two teasers, a countdown story and the art on the day. An event gets a poster and stories.
  • Everything else is spread evenly across the 4 weeks.

Questions people ask

QuestionAnswer
Why are there gaps?Your hours were used up, or light posts were skipped. Gaps are on purpose.
Why no teasers for my release? The release must be on the Releases page, and its teaser days must fall inside the new 28 days. Auto-fill never goes back.
I added one post far ahead and now it plans after itAny post counts as your last one. Press Auto-fill and choose today in the date question, or delete the stray post first.
What does Update Calendar do?The same as Auto-fill, but it does not ask for a date.
What does Clear Calendar remove?Posts that are still early, have no live link, and still have their default name. It asks first. Anything ready, uploaded or posted stays.

Only the account owner can auto-fill, add, move or delete posts. See Team and permissions.
