Running a show

Updated October 2026

Open Ticketing to build a ticket page for each show. Here is the whole job, in order.

Before you start

You need two things done once: your own Stripe account and your sending domain. See Getting paid with Stripe and Your own domain. Your event is saved as you build it, and Publish opens once both are done.

Build the event

  1. Event tab: title, description, venue, city, country, date, door and show times, the look (Club, Playful or Corporate) and your web address. Add the line-up.
  2. Tickets tab: an early bird price, a regular price and a door price. The door price is shown, but sold at the venue. Early bird ends on a date or after a number of tickets. Set the capacity, counted in people. A group ticket counts as 3.
  3. Offers (bottom of the Tickets tab, optional): up to three extras. Group ticket for 3, ticket with a drink, VIP, merch, or a paid song request.
  4. Check the Preview, then press Publish. Copy the link and share it.

Playing in Germany? There is a link to the GEMA calculator under the ticket prices. It helps you work out fees and your break-even point.

Door staff

  1. Open Door staff (on a phone: the Orders tab, then Door staff access).
  2. Type who the key is for, such as "Front door, Mia", and press Create door key.
  3. Send the link, the QR code or the code. They open it on their phone. No account is needed.

Keys stop working at noon, Berlin time, the day after the show. Turn one off any time if it gets lost.

On the night

  • Door staff scan the QR code on each ticket with the key's scanner.
  • No phone or no signal? In the Orders tab, click the badge on the guest's row to check them in.
  • A group ticket admits 3. You will see 3/3, 2/3 and so on.
  • A ticket that was already used shows a clear message.

A buyer lost their ticket

  • Find their row in Orders. Press PDF and send them the file. Or just tell them the code. The code is all the door needs.
  • The status says pending but they say they paid? Check Stripe. Pending means we did not hear back from Stripe yet.
  • A ticket email that bounces sends you a message with the buyer's address and ticket code. Check for a typo and reach them another way.

After the show

  • Your event page comes down by itself 6 weeks after the show.
  • The event and its orders are deleted after 6 months. Export what you need from Data Export before then.
  • Refunds are yours to do, in your Stripe dashboard.
Still stuck? Email contact@lasaguasproductions.com. If the dashboard showed a box that says "That didn't work", copy the grey details in it and paste them into your email. It helps us find the problem fast.
